Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars/PTX-40A

From SuperCombo Wiki

Introduction

THIS IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED VS.

Gameplay

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Is a giant
  • Can hit hard
  • Has a ton of armored normals
  • Unblockable missles
  • Really good overheads
  • Can pull off sick combos off stray hits
  • Fairly easy yet damaging combos for a VS game.
  • Is a little slow, has to commit if dashing
  • Jumps have 13 frame startup and can be punished during this period
  • Can fight zoning but struggles a tiny bit

Moves List

Normal Moves

Move Startup Active Recovery Block Adv Damage
(Billions)
Properties Notes
5A
10 - - - - - Much like lightan it's terrible when whiffed, but on hit or block it's extremely fast
2A
15 - - - 1040 Armored Even more annoying, has some armored frames when his shield is facing outward
5B
19 - - - 2560 - PTX turns and gives a swipe, no real complaints
6B
38 - - - 5600 Overhead PTX pulls out his chainsaw and runs it across the ground, overhead
6B -> 4B
7 - - - Low Low/Hard Knockdown PTX pulls out his chainsaw...then he doesn't, he just explodes the entire ground in front of him. Enjoy that 50/50, After doing this you can easily VS Tackle or Caliber Execution right after.
2B
19 - - - 1600 low/sweep PTX does a quick sweep. Can easily link to 2C
5C
21 - - - 7037 - Honestly I forgot this normal exists. There's very little reason to use this aside from the damage I guess. Hits twice. Could be an anti-air
2C
25 - - - 8969 OTG Very little reason to use this in Neutral, but it's great in combos or after L-P Buster. It hits OTG so squeeze out that insane damage. If you got some BBQ you can OTG twice.
3C
18 - - - 3600 Launcher Kind of forgot he even has a launcher, hitbox is really low. It's not useful for much.
4C/6C
16 - - - 7200 WallBounce PTX's grab, tech with 360C, make sure you learn this because it you don't PTX can make this an infinite.
j.A
9 - - - - Overhead Jumping knee, pretty decent
j.B
12 - - - - Overhead Jumping knee, very rare that you'll see this
j.C
15 - - - - Overhead PTX takes a seat in the air and lets out exhaust, has a VERY wide hitbox and starts up fast. Expect to see it as a surprise overhead when combined with baroque.
If done as an oki option is can be very ambiguous.

Special Moves

Move Startup Active Recovery Block Adv Damage
(Billions)
Properties Notes
Weapon
(Left Weapon) 214X
(Right Weapon) 236X

Reload
Input when weapon is missing
- - - - - Projectile/Unblockable PTX takes a knee and lets off whatever weapon is on his shoulder.
  • A Shoots downward
  • B shoots horizontal
  • C Shoots upward

For Shotgun and Gatling, the weapons degrade after three uses. Missle degrades after a single shot. Missles are unblockable and cause hard knockdown. When weapons are exhausted, input the command for the missing arm to restock. The weapon that you receive is random.

Caliber Execution
[2]->8X
24/26/28 - - - - - PTX pulls out a chainsaw and goes upward. Very little reason to use any version besides heavy. combos right after M VS TACKLE
VS TACKLE
[4]->6X

32/34/41 - - - - Wall bounce/Snapback/Armor PTX charges towards the opponent with shield out. Completely armored during active frames (but why?). Light and Medium causes wallbounce, Heavy causes snapback.

Super Moves

Move Startup Active Recovery Block Adv Damage
(Billions)
Properties Notes
Arsenal Barrage
41236X
- - - - - - PTX spins around and shoots the current weapons on his arms. If one or both weapons are missing, he'll get new ones. Instead of shooting one unblockable missle, he'll shoot four (but you can block the missles if completely full screen or standing directly in front of him). After it's done he has to manually reload all weapons
Tactical Caliber
623XX
1+31 - - - - Overhead PTX Pulls out a chain saw and swings it around. First hit is overhead.
L-P Buster
421XX
1+27 - - - - - Invincible until he stops dashing, PTX powers up and slices you up. After it's done you can follow up with 2C
