Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars/Bugs

From SuperCombo Wiki

Welcome to mysterious mysteries of strange mystery, where we'll observe how jank and crazy this game is

Universal

Glitch Conditions Notes
Baroque Unblockables
Any sliver of baroque During baroque time is "frozen" in a sense, so by plinking a normal with your baroque input, the game will "Freeze" but also accept your input as valid, allowing your character to move in this frozen time. As the rest of the game is frozen, your opponent literally cannot block, leading to unblockables.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Have an assist By timing your assist at the cooldown of a blockstring, it can become unblockable, noted by the opponent "relaxing" their guard. Some characters, like Saki, have easier setups.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Baroque Assist unblockables
Have an assist It's baroque unblockables...but using your assist instead
Glitch Conditions Notes
exist Press 66966 to wave dash, it's outrageously fast, and greatly benefits slower characters like PTX or Tekkaman.

* Lightan is excluded from this as he cannot cancel his dash natively
Glitch Conditions Notes
Baroque Snapshot

??? Pressing baroque during super startup(?) can sometimes cause the screen to "capture" whatever was visually on there and stays stuck there until the end of the match.
Glitch Conditions Notes
The orb
Pushblocking an airborne super(?) By push blocking Air Bird Smash or Shichisei Senkukyaku, the glowing sphere from the startup will stay stuck on the character. Tagging in and out will cause it to get aggressively bigger.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Super after using a forward or back throw in corner Training mode only? Do a super a frame after doing a throw and it'll push you away from the corner.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Weak Baroque
Use Baroque under 10% For some reason, when using baroque under 10%, your attacks actually come out weaker. However, it's not a huge game-changing difference. Whether this is a bug or intentional design choice is unknown, but you can try it out. Do j.C A B C 2C with Ryu, then whiff a hadouken into bbq j.C A B C 2C and compare the damage difference.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Low launcher
land a launcher on an airborne opponent by using a launcher on an airborne opponent they launch "lower" than they would on the ground, on top of this their hitstun seems to last longer. Making some weird routes possible. To note this is different from Franks infinite
Glitch Conditions Notes
Standing OTG
land a OTG after a forced roll When using an attack that causes forced roll, you can still land OTG attacks despite the rolling animation implying the opponent is about to stand up. This is best seen with Roll if she lands a j.C air to air she can immediately Super Mop Up Turbo

TvC Alex Face.png Alex

Glitch Conditions Notes
Alex needs partner alive If Alex's partner is alive, he can influence the direction of his VAR unusually fast, by first doing an air dash, then j.C, followed by VAR. Alex can get a slightly faster air dash. He can still perform Knee Smash or Power Bomb, but that's about it. It can also make j.C safe on hit but that's much harder.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Combo stungun headbutt into itself Normally when using stungun headbutt, any additional normals will cause the opponent to go airborne. However, doing stungun headbutt followed immediately by another stungun headbutt will cause the opponent to stay grounded for additional hits. You do have to link your normals after the second stungun headbutt, but after that, it's as if they never left the ground.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Get hit on the same frame as a powerbomb (?) If Alex does a powerbomb but gets jabbed out, the opponent will botch the throw, then remember they were supposed to get grabbed, but also remember they aren't getting grabbed, so they return to neutral.

TvC Batsu Face.png Batsu

Glitch Conditions Notes
Blockstun Dashing on the first frame of tardy counter gives Batsu a free action.

TvC Chun-Li Face.png Chun-li

Glitch Conditions Notes
Infinite Blockstring
Pushblock 6C If your opponent pushblocks 6C and Chun immediately does legs, the knockback from advancing guard disappears completely, meaning if Chun is able to mash forever, the opponent cannot leave without wasting meter on crossover counter (if their assist is still alive).

TvC Frank West Face.png Frank West

Glitch Conditions Notes
3C Giant Swing One of the most well-known glitches in TvC, Frank grabs the opponent during 3C, but also doesn't, leading to the game not knowing what to do and deciding the best course of action is infinite hitstun.

TvC Kaijin Face.png Kaijin no Soki

Glitch Conditions Notes
KO The opponent Back throw the opponent, then use Finisher or Helm Splitter for a fun glitch.

TvC Volnutt Face.png Megaman Volnutt

Glitch Conditions Notes
Weapon switch forward 5B While in the corner use 3B Drill, weapon switch forward, then 5B. If your opponent gets scared and doesn't do anything, Volnutt will begin to gravitate towards them. Still not entirely sure of the mechanics and it seems to work only when Volnutt is picked first on the select screen (?).
Glitch Conditions Notes
Drill upper with Casshan while OTG OTG opportunities with Volnutt are rare, and I guess this is why, the opponent remains in blockstun until landing.

TvC Morrigan Face.png Morrigan

Glitch Conditions Notes
Pushblock 5C More of a knowledge check than anything, if you push block 5C, then Morrigan instantly recovers and from frame zero can do whatever.

TvC Roll Face.png Roll

Glitch Conditions Notes
Instant Buff
Super Mop Up Turbo on a puddle One of the other well-known "glitches", Roll gets a damage increase from puddles but if you use Super Mop Up Turbo on a puddle you can instantly max out her damage buff. Possibly a bug? possibly intentional? who knows.

TvC Ryu Face.png Ryu

Glitch Conditions Notes
Still searching for mysteries
Mysterious So mysterious even we don't know.

TvC Saki Face.png Saki

Glitch Conditions Notes
Trade on command grab Much like Alex, Saki has a similar glitch.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Unblockables just won't hit
Hitboxes? hitstun? Hitboxes, hurtboxes, whatever, in some instances, Saki's unblockable bullet will just whiff.

TvC Viewtiful Joe Face.png Viewtiful Joe

Glitch Conditions Notes
Whatever this is
Mysterious So mysterious even we don't know (small note this clip is from CGOH, may or may not exist in UAS).

TvC Zero Face.png Zero

Glitch Conditions Notes
DHC into Rekkouha while opponent is OTG Rekkouha hits OTG only on the rainbow lasers, except when as a DHC from another character...for some reason.
Glitch Conditions Notes
DHC into Rekkouha when Jun's super explodes Rekkouha hits twice after Jun's explosion...again for some reason.

TvC Casshan Face.png Casshan

Glitch Conditions Notes
Scrap Android bug
Land the last hit of Scrap Android at the highest point possible Normally after Scrap Android Casshan can't do anything because they nerfed everything good from him, but if you manage to hit the last hit of Scrap Android at max jump height, the opponent will shift in a weird way, giving you just enough recovery to OTG afterward.

TvC Doronjo Face.png Doronjo

Glitch Conditions Notes
In the beginning DHC
Being too efficient If you perform In the beginning and immediately DHC, nothing happens, boyacky just never appears. I mean, yeah, safe DHC, but also I want my trash ball. Also, there seem to be some supers that cause it to come out faster during DHC?
Glitch Conditions Notes
In the beginning Camera break
Have blade on screen If Blade does Crash Intrude as Doronjo uses In the beginning, he can get "caught" in the ball and float away forever.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Expanding Tree hitboxes
??? Tree seems to have a variating hitbox? RNG? Conditional? Sometimes it'll hit half-screen, and other times the opponent will be breathing in the fresh air with no danger. To a lesser extent, Tonzura Grab has the same quirk, grabbing people from half-screen, and other times completely whiffing despite the opponent staring him in the face.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Doronjo Fake Jump
Taunt after jumping Using Taunt a frame after jumping causes Doronjo to cancel her jump....it's uh, not very useful but k

TvC Ippatsuman Face.png Ippatsuman

TvC Joe Face.png Joe the Condor

Glitch Conditions Notes
Cannot chip
Developers Another well-known bug is that Condor cannot chip anyone*. Of course, if he's willing to spend meter, he can, but that's not the point. At pixel kill, he's helpless if the opponent just turtles.

* Okay he can chip people with 236X, but let's pretend we all knew that
Glitch Conditions Notes
Developers Capcom gave Condor one of the coolest animations in the game, then kinda forgot and made it impossible to see in-game unless you kill Roll or Zero with it.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Condor Magnum Bug
Have 2 bars of meter One of the few modern soft body glitches, when doing a DHC from Condor Magnum at the last possible frame (possibly when the last feather hits), Condor will finish his animation, but there's no default case for what to do here, so he just sorta chills out on screen. If you do tag out, Condor turns invisible and is unable to be hit. While there is currently no formal ruling on it, presume it's uncool to do in tournament.
Glitch Conditions Notes
Back Throw Bug
??? Break the camera by backthrowing and dashing.

Glitch Conditions Notes
BirdShoot blockstun
 ??? Iunoo, there's the video.

TvC Polimar Face.png Polimar

Glitch Conditions Notes

Mysterious So mysterious even we don't know.

TvC Tekkaman Face.png Tekkaman

Glitch Conditions Notes
Use Space Knights Formation on giants at a certain height As if his level 3 isn't already garbage, Space Knights Formation will whiff on HIT if used on a giant at a certain height. To be fair, I'm sure Capcom didn't anticipate the attack being able to hit so high, but man...

TvC Tekkaman Blade Face.png Tekkaman Blade

Glitch Conditions Notes
In the beginning Camera break
Have blade on screen If Blade does Crash Intrude as Doronjo uses In the beginning, he can get "caught" in the ball and float away forever.

TvC Yatterman-1 Face.png Yatterman 1

Glitch Conditions Notes
Still searching for mysteries
Mysterious So mysterious even we don't know.

TvC Yatterman-2 Face.png Yatterman 2

Glitch Conditions Notes
Perform Super Passion, hold C, opponent uses their Super, let go of C during super Flash What a complicated bug, but this allows Yatter 2 to act frame ZERO during any super in the game. You can bait with the level 1, the opponent will try to punish, then you're free to do your thing. Beyond situational, beyond obscure, might be one of the biggest knowledge checks you can pull on someone.

TvC Gold Lightan Face.png Gold Lightan

Glitch Conditions Notes
Still searching for mysteries
Mysterious So mysterious even we don't know.

TvC PTX-40A Face.png PTX-40A

Glitch Conditions Notes
Spacing Either the missiles are a bug or this is. If PTX launches a missile, it's utterly unblockable... unless you stand at full screen, then it's not... for some reason.
