Remember Joe is a bit stubby; the 3C can whiff if not spaced properly, and the air combo can also whiff if the super jump is not delayed correctly. Basically, I'm saying they dropped the ball a bit on his hitbox.

In air combos, get used to Red Hot Kick to Voomerang. If done, it's completely safe and the oki is built right in. If the opponent attempts to rush you down, the Voomerang will hunt them down with no remorse. Also, the j.C doesn't knock down until the fourth hit, so you can wring out a tiny bit of damage with that.

Since you'll probably be doing a lot of Slow and Zoom, here's the SaZ relaunch. You can omit the Voomerang and launch, but it makes a slightly tighter window.

You can Air Joe instead of Red Hot, but the timing is weird, and that's not to ignore the bomb not just blowing you up on some occasions. Timing has to be exact or this combo doesn't work. The bomb cannot be BBQ'd until after it passes Joe's shoulder.

Emergency confirm from Red Hot Kick, it's rough so be careful.

2CBBQ   [AC2C x 8]   Slow and Zoom

Viewtiful Joe infinite...which it's not as it drops after 8 reps, and it only works on Megaman characters. With Zero and Volnutt, you have to stagger the first A after the BBQ, but with Roll the timing is a little more generous.
