Terminology

A brief overview of terms commonly used within the TvC Wiki and Community itself:

Legend:

  • Red - Terms related to specific moves or actions.
  • Blue - Terms associated with characters or special references.
  • Yellow - Terms that relate to in-game mechanics or references with a specific visual or contextual note.
Term Description
Ai-Chan Government name for Yatterman-2.
AIR CAR The level 1 super that Tekkaman uses in the air when riding PEGAS.
Anime While of course it refers to Japanese animation (and by extension Tatsunoko itself), it is used in reference to Tekkaman Blade's very anime-like level 3.
Baroque/BBQ The Roman Cancel of TvC. If your character has any red life, you can cancel any non-super move by pressing an attack button and the partner button (e.g., Light + Partner). This action resets your character back to neutral, allowing you to perform a new action. It also refreshes your double jump and air dash. This is also referred to as BBQ.

Sticky rollback netcode A reference made in regards to Dolphin's delay-based netcode, usually made in jest. First said by Matchstick Melee.
