Morrigan Aensland is a Scottish succubus who made her debut in Capcom's innovative Darkstalkers series, aka Vampire Savior (not to be confused with the now-popular "Vampire Survivor" series) in Japan. Daughter of Belial Aensland, lord of the Demon Realm (making her demonic nobility herself), she fights alongside various other nasty creatures in her horror-themed home series, such as a yeti, a werewolf, and (of course) a vampire; sadly, none of these could join the party in MvC:I.

A new long-reaching low attack for Morrigan. Curiously, this can only be accessed on its own, not as part of a chain; pressing 3HP in a combo after another normal instead causes Morrigan to perform 2HP.

Morrigan's iconic Darkstalkers command grab. The HP version leaves you with enough advantage to link a Shadow Servant hyper after, though this is only a small damage increase, not generally worth the meter. Builds disproportionately little hyper combo gauge for the damage it deals.

Morrigan spawns a shadowy ball of energy that unleashes a long spear. If the spear connects, it applies a special status to the opponent that causes Morrigan to gain very large amounts of meter for connecting Soul Fists (only on hit, she still gets nothing on block). This debuff on the opponent lasts about 10 seconds.
The LK version will stay in place when you hold the button, waiting until you release the button to extend its spear. It can be held for approximately 8.5 seconds this way, at which point the spear appears automatically.
The HK version will travel as long as you hold HK, until it has traveled a full screen's worth; if you start near the edge of a screen, this does mean it will travel off-screen, past the opponent, and note that the spear will not turn around to point at the foe; it will still point forward, making this a useless way to use this move.
