1) Life Gauge
A bar indicating the amount of health your characters have. When they take damage, a portion or all of it may be in the form of recoverable health, represented as a red section of the gauge. You may recover this by using the Soul Stone Infinity Surge or tagging out and allowing the injured character to stay out of the fight (they will slowly recover health as they do so). You can lose red health by getting thrown.
2) Partner
Your partner character. By default, this is the character you selected second at character select.
When your partner can no longer be tagged in, whether because you're doing a move that doesn't permit it (such as a cinematic), or because your partner has been KO'd, a yellow "no" sign will appear over their portrait.
3) Hyper Meter
A bar indicating the amount of hyper meter you have built up. Both players begin a match with 1 full meter stocked up, and you can store up to a maximum of 4 meters.
Some characters have hypers that power them up for a period of time. Once activated, a new, smaller bar will appear just above the hyper meter indicating the time remaining for this power-up.
4) Stone Meter/Stone Selection
A bar indicating how much Infinity Stone meter you have built. The line at the 50% mark indicates the minimum amount required to activate an Infinity Stone Storm. Filling beyond this bar will allow you to use the Storm for longer. When a character dies, this meter instantly fills by 50%. A surge of lighter color will start pulsing through once your Storm is ready to use, and your Stone will glow brighter as well.
5) Timer
The amount of time left in a match. Starts at 99. When the timer reaches zero, whoever has the highest life percentage between both characters on their team will win the match.
