| The startup is rather fast for its generous duration, and activating it in neutral can be difficult to punish, especially if the enemy is respecting Shao's superior range in Axe stance. Improvement in combo damage is highly dependent on the choice of route, with B2 combos seeing significant increases in damage while B3 starters get very limited benefit.
