Introduction

Heir to Outworld’s Throne

”Born mere seconds ahead of her twin sister, Mileena is the rightful heir to Outworld’s throne. But even so, there are those who distrust Mileena’s impulsiveness; they whisper that Kitana, with her steadier hand, should replace Mileena as heir to the throne. As Mileena fights for legitimacy, she hides a horrible secret: she is infected with the dreaded and lethal Tarkat disease. Were her affliction found out, Mileena would be forced into battle to save her throne.”

Mileena is a Rushdown/Mixup kombatant with that excels at playing neutral/footsies with close-range sai attacks as well as advancing kick normals/strings and specials that allow her to whiff-punish, anti-air, and pressure opponents to open them up for kombos; some of her safe tools include a fast confirmable High-Overhead jab string (S12), two fast High-Overhead (S34) and double-Overhead (F4) knockdowns, a fast advancing Mid stagger (F1), and various Low/Overhead enders. Her projectiles reach midscreen by default and fullscreen when enhanced; Low Sai (BF3) is an unsafe 20f Low which can be used to create 50/50s that either reset or lead to kombos, while her High Straight Sai (BF1) can be Enhanced to destroy projectiles and teleport Mileena to the opponent on hit/block with an unsafe Overhead follow-up (causing a crumple stun to start/extend kombos). Roll (BD4) is an advancing Mid launcher that can start/extend kombos while (Air) Ball can extend aerial kombos by firing multiple short-range sais; the Enhanced Homing (Air) Ball can be fully charged to ground bounce on hit or cancelled to remain safe. Teleport Down/Up (DF2/DB2) also allow her to advance on either side the opponent with a kick to extend/end kombos. Krazed Tarkatan (Down + Flip Stance) allows her to trade her Fatal Blow for an install that is active for 10 seconds and allows her to meterlessly chain cancel her normals/strings and Sai projectiles between each other up to 2x per kombo.
