Advanced V.G. 2/Ayako/Strategy

From SuperCombo Wiki

Strategy

Neutral

Ayako thrives at the midrange. You can honestly get a lot of mileage out of basically spamming st.LK, since it's fast, has fantastic range, and links into itself, allowing you to easily confirm into a combo. If your opponent decides to jump at you, st.HP will very easily swat them out of the air, and since this normal is also a launcher, you'll often be able to convert into a combo even if it trades.

Offense

Ayako's normal throw is one of the scariest in the game, due to her ability to combo after it in all situations, so she wants to push her opponent to the corner, where she will have to deal with her throw mixups. A very common offensive strategy with Ayako in the corner is to just hit your opponent with a jab after throwing them, so that they air reset and have to deal with another mixup between throw and 5HP, which both either lead to a rewarding combo or the same situation with another jab reset.

Defense

You can use EX Mach Spin as a reversal thanks to its speed, but your best bet is to try and land st.HP anti-airs, since most characters will try to start offense with jumping normal chains.
