Introduction
Street Fighter EX2 Plus is a "3D" fighting game developed by Arika and published by Capcom in 1999. It was first released as an arcade game for the Sony ZN-2 hardware, and received a console conversion for the PlayStation 1 later that same year. Street Fighter EX2 Plus is largely an enhanced version of Street Fighter EX2, which released in 1998.
EX2 Plus retains the mechanics from the original Street Fighter EX, such as Guard Breaks: An unblockable attack that stuns your opponent, and Super Canceling: Which allows you to cancel special moves into supers and supers into other supers.
The marquee feature of EX2 and its revision is the introduction of the EXCEL mechanic, activated by simultaneously pressing a punch and kick button of different strengths. Excel lets you break the games cancel rules and create your own flashy combos and juggles. EX2 Plus also introduces M. Bison, Sagat, Pullum Purna, Darun Mister, Vulcano Rosso, and Area as playable characters.
