Introduction
Material was genetically engineered to be as annoying as physically possible.
Serving as the game's sub-boss, Material is a somewhat strange case, in that her strength mostly comes from her being an overtuned normal character. "Overtuned" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, though, as Material sports, hands-down, the best set of normals in the entire game, with heavy buttons that come out at the speed of some light attack buttons, all of which lead to high reward on hit and strong pressure on block. Strong special moves with long active time, as well as a unique teleport dash, all serve to give Material not just powerful combos and neutral control, but some of the game's most terrifying okizeme.
