Metagame
Danny Phantom is ranked 1st out of 29 on the current tier list, in the S+ tier. This is a sizeable improvement over his 6-7th out of 25 placement in the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
Danny is an overwhelmingly strong character with tools for pretty much any given situation. His aerials can juggle opponents into the blastzone in a matter of seconds, and also work as crazy pressure tools due to the crossup granted by them. His projectile, Phantasmal Bolt, is very difficult to contest at far-range, which he can also use to mixup his opponent into another juggle. His mobility and movement are among the best in the game, being very difficult to chase or catch in the air, and being able to edge cancel his Back Air for even more slippery movement on the ground. If that wasn't enough, Danny also hurtbox shifts a lot, likely due to shifting between his human form and his ghost form, making him even more difficult to hit. All of these tools make Danny an absolute powerhouse of a character, having answers to any strategy in the game.
Danny's only notable flaw is his weight, which makes him easier to KO than some of the cast, but that's only if he gets caught.
As you can see, Danny's strengths overwhelmingly outweigh his weaknesses, and he is unanimously considered to be the best character in the game, having a perfect score of 1.00 on the most recent tier list.
