Strategy

Bison's main game plan is poking and using his strong mobility to control almost all parts of the screen. With a myriad of longer ranged attacks and good poke options, he ends up being not only a character that's hard to hit, but one that can also apply some great pressure.

Neutral

Bison has great footsies buttons and has many different attacks to put away the opponent in neutral. On top of that they can lead into Bison's great pressure.

Pokes

st.MP: A great button with priority and speed. It is also +3 on block. It can be ducked by characters shorter than Blanka. With this button at his disposal, Bison can check a lot of buttons.

st.MK: Similar to st.MP, however it's slightly worse. It hits all crouchers, but in a matchup where st.MP is available this button is redundant.

cr.MP: A long ranged cancellable poke, although it is a bit slow in terms of startup. When used closer to max range, it becomes a really nice button and a perfect setup into Scissors.

cr.HP: Mostly a counter poke. It has just one frame of extra startup but loses the special cancel. Good to beat out attempted pokes with.

cr.MK: A button that Bison just throws out at times, either as a small meter build or counterpoking.
