Introduction

M. Bison's psycho power has given him great power, but before he could gain this power, Dan killed his father and pushed Vega down the stairs. He's now out for revenge.


This character's name is localized for the English release. For the purposes of this page, the names "Bison" and "Dictator" are interchangeable.

M. Bison is a solid character focused on controlling space and locking opponents down. Dictator comes with a plethora of long range normals, forward moving options, unique mobility tools, and full chains for easy confirms and simple stagger pressure. Like all charge characters from Ultra, Dictator is now motion, allowing him to access his powerful 'Scissor Kicks' and 63214P 'Psycho Crusher' at whim. This also goes for his command jumps, allowing him to fly across the screen. This air mobility is augmented by j.63214P 'Devil's Reverse' and j.63214K 'Scissor Slide', two airborne specials that alter his jump arc.

Once Dictator scores a knockdown, he can mix with either his strong j.MK crossup, or his unique forward dash, which can pass through opponents. His dash is especially good for this, as you can alter whether or not you pass through with slight timing changes. These crossups loop into themselves, allowing Dictator to run away with a hit if the opponent can't guess correctly. His pressure on block is still quite good, since Scissor Kicks are extremely safe and set up nasty spacing traps and strong lockdown.

Where Dictator struggles most is his damage. Without landing a 2HP, he rarely converts into more than a basic knockdown with Scissors, and needs to hitconfirm supers to deal much damage off long range hits. Even landing a 2HP, his damage is still lower than the average Remix character benchmarks, and he struggles to spend meter to add more. This exacerbates his other weakness, which is his relative honesty. Many characters in Remix can convert into 500 damage off safe pokes from any range, or have extremely powerful reversals or projectiles. While Dictators dash 50/50's are anything but honest, Remix is a game where mixups are powerful across the entire cast.

Dictator is a straightforward and simple neutral character, who relies on solid normals and safe pressure to make opponents crack in neutral before running a blender of left/rights. He struggles to net huge damage, but the ability to safely chip away health can still win rounds.

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Normals: Dictator has a variety of strong normals, with plenty of long range and plus on block lights, a huge poke in 5MK, a great 2MP, and a strong anti-air in 2HP
  • Scissor Kicks: Undoubtedly his signature move, Scissor Kicks still remain as amazing buffers and pressure tools in Remix, augmented by now being a motion input
  • Air Mobility: Dictator has plenty of options to make himself hard to anti-air, and thanks to his air Target Combo, he can convert into great damage off an air-to-air, letting him play in the air as much as he does on the ground
  • Teleport Dash: His unique teleport dash allows him to pass through opponents, setting up unseeable left/rights with only slight timing changes on his meaties
  • Damage: To convert into his highest damage, Dictator has to land a 2HP, which doesn't have much horizontal range. The damage of a 2HP isn't spectacular either, and without it, Dictator can struggle to break even 200 meterless, making him one of the lowest damage characters on average in Remix
  • Honesty: While teleport dash is amazing and scissor kicks are strong, none of Dictator's tools stand out in comparison to what the top tiers can do, making him feel comparatively quite honest

M.Bison (commonly referred to as "Dictator") is the head bad guy of most of the Street Fighter series.
