* Strong normals that can easily confirm combos from neutral.
* '''Great Normals''': Radel's normals are excellent to pester the opponent due to how much reach they have. He can confirm combos off of most normals or have good utility; such as 5B, a low poke, being able to low profile fireballs.
:* 5B can low profile most fireballs.
* '''Big Stun Damage''': Radel can dish out a load of stun damage with his level 1 and level 2 supers. For Radel to stun a character, they don't need to be in any special state.. they just need to get hit.
:* 2C can confirm into combos from a moderately long distance.
* '''Tricky Command Grab''': Radel's command grab can be used between his pokes to open up a defensive opponent. You can't get much off of it, but it is a nice chunk of damage plus Oki.
:* 5A/2C can hit confirm into 236A and or super.
* Simple combos that deal a load of damage and stun.
* Impact has a long hitbox and can go over low attacks.
* Quick command grab that can be used as a tic-throw.
* Large DP that can catch opponents behind Radel.
* Supers do a load of stun damage since they're all multi-hit.

* Combos can drop if you're too far since his normals vary in range.
* '''Combos Can Drop Easy''': If you're too far away, mess up your timing of a tag-in attack or even be in the corner.. Radel can drop his combo easily thanks to his moves having huge pushback and long recovery times.
* No safe block string options.
* '''No Safe Blockstrings''': Everything Radel has is punishable by everyone on block. If you commit to your combo, you will get punished.
* All far buttons, except 5A, have a high recovery time.
* '''No Mix-up Options''': Radel's command grab is his only "mix-up" and it must be done point-blank. It's very easy to avoid if the opponent sees it coming.
* Has the 2nd slowest impact in the game.
* No mix-ups outside of command grab.
* All specials have a long recovery time on whiff and block.
* Your super can miss if you hit your opponent too high up. This is common on Radel's tag in attack.

Radel is a member of the dwindling dragon hunter clan. When he was a child, his parents were killed by the "Black Dragon". Knowing his role since the Black Dragon was prophesied to appear by his clan for decades. Radel sets to seek out the Murakami family, a family of psychic guides, to guide him on his journey to avenge his father. Radel is charged with protecting his guide, Annie Murakami. Although Radel has doubts about Annie's young age, since he is concerned she is too young for combat, he pursues his journey to avenge his father's death.

Radel is a powerhouse with good neutral controlling options. From pestering opponents with his normals to opening opponents up with his command grab, Radel is a solid pick if you're looking for a character who is well-rounded in all areas.
