Oni was an orphan who grew up protecting Cassandra. After he lit their orphanage on fire, they fled surviving on fight money from Oni's street fighting wins. Oni underestimated his opponent in a fight and got badly injured. Cassandra was worried about his health and sought out the help of Father Elias. Oni and his sister were in the care of Elias for almost a year, until Oni can get back on his feet to fulfill his lust for fighting. Finding out about Oni's fighting lust, Elias believes Oni is possed by a demon. When Elias caught Oni attempting to assault Cassandra in her sleep, he was banished back to the streets. Cassandra blindly follows her brother to the tournament without knowing what her brother tried to do.

Oni excels at offensive, defensive and neutral play thanks to his extremely versatile move set. A good all-rounder character with solid options across the board and is a great character for any starting player.

Versatile Toolset: Oni has it all, anti-airs, great normals, and a command grab. Oni can be played aggressively or defensively. It's your choice. Huge Metered Damage: Oni hits like a truck when he gets a wall hit or meter. He can easily do 60%+ to any character.	No Mixes: Oni doesn't have any mixes he can rely on. He's got a command grab that's extremely slow. Oni just has to poke the opponent to death or get a jump in. Punished Hard For Whiffing Moves: It's easy to punish Oni's whiffed moves. It is important to NOT to whiff moves in neutral since they take forever to recover.
