Introduction
Bryan, a shady former Hong Kong police officer who died in a shoot-out, has been revived by Dr.Abel to steal data from his rival, Dr. Bosconovitch. Bryan is entering the third King of Iron Fist tournament in order to fight Yoshimitsu, a known acquaintance of Dr Bosconovitch, in order to collect this data.
While lacking the Jet Upper of newer games, Bryan can command a powerful keepout game with his CH launching f+4 and long df+2, while making the opponent vary their approaches with his classic Orbital (u_uf+4) and Snake Edge (df+3) and punishing whiffs hard with Mach Breaker (f,f+2).

CHJG |
A core poke and keepout tool. While Bryan does have a standard Magic 4, it actually doesnt recover fast enough to give you a combo on counterhit, and is actually quite a bit negative. For these reasons, you should always autopilot to using f+4. On counterhit, you can get a f,F+2, which seems to be the most optimal combo as of right now.

A non standard df+1. While having the same startup as his df+2, the extra damage you can get from the df+1,2 string makes it worth trying sometimes, even despite its shorter range. Use to keep opponents honest.
df+2

The preferred mid check. df+2 has great range, okay damage and is safe on block. Compliments f+4 quite well when poking, as df+2 covers it’s blind spot.

Snake Edge is a reactable launching low that slips under highs and even some mids. A risky mixup tool, as it’s extremely launch punishable, but serves as a very rewarding low. Can slip underneath opponents keepout tools in neutral and tracks knockdown rolls pretty well.

Orbital is a launching mid that goes over lows and is safe. A fantastic tool to avoid low pokes and is disjointed enough to be used as a safe keepout tool with good reward.

A brilliant whiff punish tool that, despite being very negative, has enough pushback on block to make it mostly safe. Also, after a running 3 on block, Bryan gets a guaranteed Mach Punch. Make the opponent weep.
