Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha/Garuda

From SuperCombo Wiki

Introduction

"I would ban Garuda if I could."

Arika's Boss Character is just playing a different game. EXA Garuda is an evil genius of a Shoto with a bucket of dastardly knowledge checks and ridiculous setups. Unlike future appearances, however, Garuda really breaks this game.

  • Every Garuda BNB in the game confirms to Kienshou: A ridiculous metered invincible reversal that leaves him point blank, off axis, and very plus. Meaty crossups after KSU can be unblockable.
  • Multiple Garuda setups cause the opponent to wake up backwards. HK Throw, Meaty 423HP can be timed as a left/right mixup that's often safe on block and a hard knockdown whenever it connects.
  • Gouga xx "Beyblade", Kara 6HK~214214K is an ambigious, nigh unseeable looping 50/50 that works anywhere on the screen.

Unlike Shin Garuda, who is universally banned, EXA Garuda walks on a knife's edge: Whether he should be allowed to compete is anyone's guess... And might depend on if you play the character yourself.
