Shotokan is a style of karate used by a variety of Capcom fighters, most notably Ryu. The three basic moves found in fighting games are the Hadouken (fireball), Shoryuken (rising dragon uppercut), and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (hurricane kick). Any character that can perform a variation of these moves is often considered a Shotokan fighter or a shoto-clone.
