One of the standard moves of the Shotokan arts. The character leaps straight in the air with one leg while the other spins around in a fierce hurricane kick. While spinning, the fighter travels horizontally forwards across the screen. This first appeared as a move that Ryu and Ken could perform in the first Street Fighter game. Most Shotokan fighters can perform a variation of this attack, as well as some fighters of other styles. This move can vary its height, endurance, forward horizontal motion, number of hits, angle of rise, strength, speed, might be able to be done in the air in the air, and might continuously kick the character or knock them across the screen.
