Introduction
Rage of the Dragons is a 2002 2 on 2 tag fighter developed by Evoga, BrezzaSoft, and Noise Factory on the Neo Geo arcade system. It plays similarly to other fighting games on the Neo Geo like King of Fighters '98.
Rage of the Dragons was supposed to be a Double Dragon fighting sequel to the 1995 version of that game that takes place after Double Dragon II. However, the development team could not acquire the rights for the characters. So instead of scrapping the game, they changed the names of characters; such as Abobo to Abubo. Billy and Jimmy still kept their names respectively.
As of 2020, Piko Interactive now holds the rights to Rage of the Dragons and is working with QUByte Interactive on releasing a modern port. There is yet to be an announcement date.
