Lee is a CPU character in Street Fighter. Though unplayable in the base game, he can be played via a code in SF1++. Though he has not made any appearances in the Street Fighter series outside of the original, his influence has taken effect in the form of Yun and Yang from the Street Fighter III series, who are his nephews.
Lee is a strong character that focuses on a hit-and-run playstyle, using his strong burst options in his jump attacks and heavy punch to threaten the opponent while using his phenomenal medium kick to out-space most moves in the game. However, up close he struggles a bit due to poor frame data on some of his moves such as heavy kick. While, he does possess a jab that's pretty fast, it isn't frame one and therefore doesn't break loops by itself. However, Lee's walk possesses, a powerful option in scuttle cancelling. If he gets hit by an attack during his walk animation he takes almost no hitstun, being able to act faster than most characters can loop. Although, one has to be careful when going for a scuttle-cancel as it also guarantees you will be multi-hit if the move can, such as Birdie Headbutt or Sagat Knee, melting your health bar immediately. However, this tech when used properly can turn a lost situation into a winning one with proper play. He also possesses one of the best blocks along with Adon, the first 16 frames of his block animation his hurtbox is lowered dramatically even low-profiling Hadoken, allowing him to "dodge" high attacks and punish without much effort.
For these reasons Lee is seen as being a decent well rounded character, with at least survivable match-ups against most of the cast and really positive ones against a few.
In SF1++, Lee is selected by holding at the title screen or VS. Screen and pressing Start.
