==What are the tiers for this game?==

Though there’s no concrete tierlist, the general consensus usually looks something like this (tiers are not ordered):
Below is the Spring 2024 SF1Cord Community Tier List. SS Tier characters are banned from all current tournaments unless stated otherwise, and S Tier characters are banned from Adonarchy tournaments. (tiers are ordered):

'''Top/Banned Tier: Sagat, Shotos'''
'''SS Tier: Ryu'''

'''High Tier: Birdie, Eagle, Gen'''
'''S Tier: Sagat, Ken, Birdie'''

'''Upper Mid Tier: Mike, Lee, Retsu'''
'''A1 Tier: Eagle'''

'''Lower Mid Tier: Adon, Joe'''
'''A2 Tier: Adon, Lee, Mike'''

'''Low Tier: Geki'''
'''B Tier: Gen, Retsu, Joe'''

'''C Tier: Geki'''

Note that tiers don’t nesscessary reflect a character’s matchup spread. For example, Adon beats Geki harder than Eagle, despite Adon generally being cited as the weaker character overall.

==Why are Sagat and Shotos banned?==
==Why is Ryu banned?==

These two characters pretty much win every matchup and makes the entire cast unviable, so they are often softbanned in SF1++ tournaments. More detailed descriptions can be found in their respective character pages.
Simply put, Ryu's Shoryuken cannot be hit. More specifically, Ryu has i frames on his Shoryuken that start as soon as the move is inputted and last throughout the entire rest of the move. If someone does Shoryukens perfectly back-to-back, Ryu cannot be hit at all. Ken's Shoryuken, despite the common belief that both characters are identical, is different in that its i frames only start on frame 5 of the move, when the active frames begin, meaning Ken cannot keep a permanent invincibility dp chain and will be punished after landing from Shoryuken.

Note that in "vanilla" SF1 tournaments, Shotos are obviously still legal due to being the only character.

What is SF1++?

A: SF1++ is a romhack of Street Fighter made by Yumeji. It makes the 10 normally-unplayable CPU fighters selectable via a button code.

Where can I find the download for SF1++?

Check the description of this video.

What’s a good platform or emulator to play SF1++?

If you want to play online with other people, Fightcade 2 is your best bet.

I can’t find the Street Fighter lobby in Fightcade. Where is it?

Look up “Street Fighter” then look for it. It’s not a very populated lobby, and you have to look under other Street Fighter games, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

If I have the SF1++ ROM, Can I play people who don’t have the SF1++ ROM?

No, the game will desync if you try to challenge someone with a different ROM. Make sure both players have the same ROM before challenging.

How do I select a character?

On the “Press Start” or “VS.” screen when playing against an opponent, hold down the button combination for your character.

What are the combinations?

Combinations
Joe Mike Retsu Geki Birdie Eagle Lee Gen Adon Sagat
Mp.png Mp.png Hk.png Lp.png Lp.png Hk.png Lk.png Lk.png Hk.png Mk.png Mk.png Hp.png Hp.png Hp.png Hk.png

I can’t do jump attacks with the CPUs.

The CPUs are unique from the Shotos as their jumpkick is tied to a command rather than pressing a button in the air. For all CPUs with a jumpkick, you must hold Db.png, D.png, or Df.png and then press any punch button.

What are the tiers for this game?

Below is the Spring 2024 SF1Cord Community Tier List. SS Tier characters are banned from all current tournaments unless stated otherwise, and S Tier characters are banned from Adonarchy tournaments. (tiers are ordered):

SS Tier: Ryu

S Tier: Sagat, Ken, Birdie

A1 Tier: Eagle

A2 Tier: Adon, Lee, Mike

B Tier: Gen, Retsu, Joe

C Tier: Geki

Note that tiers don’t nesscessary reflect a character’s matchup spread. For example, Adon beats Geki harder than Eagle, despite Adon generally being cited as the weaker character overall.

Why is Ryu banned?
