Being 3D, SFEX doesn't normalize its characters' headings instantly like sprite based fighters do, and gameplay doesn't force open stance. Characters in SFEX have to literally turn around to face a jumping opponent, opening the door to truly ambiguous mixups using the game's existing knockdown system.
