Straight Jab’s fast startup and plentiful routes makes it one of the best buttons to start juggle extensions with.

Elbow Smash
Elbow Smash is usually strung into from a Straight Jab combo.




Gut Punch
Gut punch leads to a free grab if you act quick enough. It can also recursively link back to itself with Medium Knee.

Chain Slash
Chain Slash’s long range makes it a good punish tool, and the ability to string it into either of your hard knockdown moves allows you to wall out your opponent, set up favourable corner situations, or create space to safely heat your chain (if you hold for the duration of the string and release it after the string has completed).


Spinning Chain Slash
Spinning Chain Slash lacks range compared to its non-spinning counterpart, and since Medium Kick links into the version of this move, there's not a lot of reason to use this as a combo starter.




Back And Forth Snap
If you didn't link into it, you can cancel the startup of Snap into a Side Straight Kick string, just in case you accidentally input this move.

Guilty Lashes
Guilty Lashes is mostly used as a string starter to get extra damage on a downed opponent, though against a standing opponent it can deal 24 damage if linked into with a sufficiently heated chain.


Chain Punch From Crouch
Crouch Chain’s range can be a little finicky, but the fact you can string it into your other good crouching move saves it from being obsolete.

Medium Kick
Easily one of Tormentor's best combo starters, starting his only safe launching string as well as some of his best heat payouts.

Medium Knee
Medium Knee can be string into quite a few things, most hilariously Gut Punch, which can recursively string into another Medium Knee.


Straight Leg From Crouch
Tormentor's crouch attacks in general need more research, since right now it might be the worst crouch-kit in the whole game.

A lot of this move’s strings are worse versions of their Medium Kick counterparts.


Snap Kick
Snap Kick offers another route to a high damage Charged Uppercut ender.
