I'm Taylor. I'm almost 20 now and I've been playing fighters for around 15 to 17 years. I started with Hyper fighting and WW on the SNES but I rather missed the arcade "Era" so I did the lot of my virtual fights at home unless a new game came out in the arcades the town had- notably CVS1 when it was new (go nakoruru!), games in the Tekken series, and Soul Calibur. I didn't honestly know about tournaments till relatively recently- around 2006. So that's when I was learning lexicon and combos and whatnot.
I play the games because they interest me. A lot of people think I"m "stuck in the past" because I don't play whatever the mainstream plays all the time- still going to good games like 3s and ST even though they aren't in the limelight as much as they were during what is now coined as the "Dead era". Simply playing because everyone else is isn't the greatest reason on earth. You have to enjoy what you are doing. SF4 was my "playing it because everyone else game" but It's growing on me.. Like a mold. I'm still not fond of some of the match ups nor the ultra system that was essentially ripped from the level 3 supers in EX 2.
I want to contribute and fill in some of the rather large blanks on this wiki-notably match ups. Characters that have been around for 4 years now in the 4 series still have their match ups blank, and the info is still sitting around in older wikis. That's admittedly lazy and it needs to be fixed. We have an influx of new people every so often and the mantra for a lot of games for the longest time when I was new was "check the wiki". It became frustrating to repeatedly see this, go to a wiki and it have NOTHING in it. We're still having this issue and in order to correct it the wiki needs legitimate information for these players that are so eager to learn.
