Mortal Kombat 1/Reptile/Strategy

From SuperCombo Wiki

Kameo Considerations

Reptile has a fair amount of kameo freedom, but he still has several areas to shop for:

  • Covering the gaps in EX Elbow Dash and B313
  • Covering him after his vulnerable Flawless Block enders
  • Pickups from his normally non-confirmable normals
  • Combo structuring that accommodates for Invisibility mid-sequence
  • Combo pickups from EX Death Roll
  • Enhancing his close range overhead and throw options
  • Complementary projectiles to allow Force Ball to be applied as a complete zoning tool

In rough order from most commonly seen:

Scorpion

Reptile remains one of Scorpion's most diehard believers, despite the kameo falling off significantly in recent times.

  • Fire Breath is the absolute premium choice for pickups and damage, letting him combo from nearly any normal and giving him the best damage from his confirms. Fire Breath also hits the enemy during F32, letting him hit Invisibility and still have enough time for a Force Ball continuation.
  • Hell Blades is excellent against enemies who aren't prepared to react to it (continued)
