Over 10,000 years old, Princess Kitana remembers little of her early years. Her mother, Queen Sindel, died mysteriously ages ago in Earthrealm. Most of her life she has loyally served her father, Shao Kahn, in his unending quest to conquer the realms. With her closest friend down, Jade, Kitana enforces his brutal will. But there is a feeling tugging at her... a feeling that the life she has known is a deception. For the moment, Kitana dutifully works to ensure Outworld's victory in this latest Mortal Kombat tournament. If she were to lower her guard, however, she might discover that her Earthrealm opponents can lead her to answers.

Fast quick poke tool. Great range and hardly punishable. Use it often.


Command Normals

Great bufferable poke tool. Use it for mixups like F + 2 into Fake kick for example. If it hits, take on Fp.png to launch them.

An ok poke tool. Can be buffered into fan to make it safe.


Kombo Attacks

F.png + Bp.png , Fp.png

Kitana's main launcher combo. Safe on block. The problem is if its block, it leaves Kitana right next to the opponent.


F.png + Bk.png , Fp.png

Kitana's high-mid launcher string. The second hit is bufferable if it's blocked.


Special Attacks

Air / Ground Fans

Kitana's main weapon. She can control the air and ground with proper fan placements. Learning Instant off the ground Air Fans is crucial to her game. Up close ground fans are quite safe. Use fans for unbreakable combos.


Square Wave

A great get out of the corner move. Just don't be too predictable with it or you can be punished. Remember you can tack on a wave after a successful air fan. Can be used as wakeup.


Fan Lift

Great anti-air move but you must commit to the lift because it doesn't start up instantly. Enhanced version does. Use this to land some nasty unbreakable fan combos.


Cutter

Stagger attack. Use it to get safe jumps.
