However, Yoshi's biggest flaw is his lack of a "true" third jump; this creates a reliance on his large double jump, causing Yoshi to be extremely easy to edgeguard and gimp. His high falling speed also makes him a target for combos. Additionally, his shield acts as a double edged sword; while it makes Yoshi immune to shield stabbing, it also lacks effects other characters have.
