Shooting Star Tandem ConfirmHow Pol converts off of his mixups. Basic
[2]8[C] > o.d.3B > 2A ~ ]C[ ~ (Shooting Star Hits) > o.d.3C > 2C xx 214S
A Shooting Star mixup into a tandem. Pol's most common Combo Starter and the one beginners are recommended to use. As you improve you should also replace d.3B, 2A with your own mixup as you get better. Detailed in Strategy.

Iggy Basic
Corner ...[1]A > (1A) > 1C xx [1]6C > o.d.2C ...
Pol's standard extension, it's very easy and very useful
- If you hit Stand OFF Ray Dart in neutral near the corner, you can opt to do any extension and loop it or go into tandem, start from d.3C in the notation
- Very powerful as a Combo Starter near the corner as it allows you to confirm into tandem from Stand OFF without resetting into Shooting Star
- You can also only use one 1A, with the advantage of later IPS activation but the timing is a bit weird as you have to just complete the charge so just stick to using two 1As if you're not confident
- The alt route is harder, as 2A, 5C is a tighter link, but it is very useful for the Petshop matchup, as neutral Petshop whiffs 2C
Shooting Star ExtensionCombo extension and reset point Intermediate
...[2]A > 2C xx [2]8C > 2A ~ (Shooting Star Hits) > o.d.2C...
Pol's other mainly used extension, this has a lot of uses, but it's a bit harder than the Ray Dart Extension, but it's still very easy for a HFTF combo.
- In addition to acting as a Combo Extension, it also acts as a way to set up Shooting Star in the corner.
- Just like the Ray Dart Extension, if you hit Shooting Star in neutral near the corner, you can opt to go for any extension and loop it or go into tandem after d.3C.
- When you're facing a very short character (Iggy, Crouching Devo) or when Shooting Star goes a bit too high above you (mostly due to the screen stretching), go for doing o.2B instead of 2A, as it has more hitstun.

Corner ...[1]A, 1A, 1C xx ]6[C, d.3C...
Pol's standard extension, it's very easy and very useful. If you hit Stand OFF Ray Dart in neutral near the corner, you can opt to do any extension and loop it or go into tandem, start from d.3C in the notation. Very powerful as a Combo Starter near the corner as it allows you to confirm into tandem from Stand OFF without resetting into Shooting Star. You can also only use one 1A, with the advantage of later IPS activation but the timing is a bit weird as you have to just complete the charge so just stick to using two 1As if you're not confident
- Ray Dart can whiff on Iggy and Crouching Devo so refrain from using this extension when those situations come up
