EX refers to many things, almost all of which are in the [[Street Fighter]] series.  There are several things EX could refer to, including EX special attacks (see [[Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike|3rd Strike]], [[Street Fighter 4]]), or EX focus cancels (see Street Fighter 4).  EX special attacks are special moves, usually performed by pressing two of whatever button required to do the move normally (punch or kick), and have different properties than normal special moves.  EX focus cancels allow you to cancel any move and dash cancel the focus cancel, allowing you to combo things you would not normally be able to otherwise.<BR>

EX can refer to multiple items or concepts.

The most common usage of EX as a gameplay mechanic introduced in the Street Fighter 3 series. Players can spend a certain amount of super meter when performing a special move to give it bonus damage or properties. To activate an EX move, commonly a player has to press two buttons instead of one when activating the special move, provided he/she has enough super meter. This mechanic has been carried over into Street Fighter 4.
