Strengths Weaknesses
  • Kill Power: Many of Link's moves have great knockback, giving him many options to finish stocks.
  • Recovery: Between Link's Up-b and instant/slow hookshot, Link has many recovery mix-ups to confuse your opponent.
  • Projectiles: Link's arrow, boomerang, and most notably bomb combine to give him great projectile zoning that can combo into kills.
  • Neutral Air: Link's Neutral Air has 36 active frames, giving it the most out of any move in the game. An all around great move you can rely on.
  • Speed: Link has a slow run speed, short double jump, short wavedash, and 6 frame jumpsquat. This results in him feel sluggish compared to most of the cast.
  • Lag: A running theme in Link's kit is endlag. Most of his moves have considerable endlag that will get you punished if used improperly.
  • Grab: Link suffers from having a tether grab, being much slower than the average grab.
