Peach is 17th on the current Brawl tier list. This is because she has very good hitbox placement, the ability to float, decent combo ability, very versatile projectile, decent recovery, excellent edge-guarding moves, great racking ability, very unique playstyle, decent range and speed on some of her attacks and for her Vegetables to recover her approach; however, she is brought down by her weak aerial defence, her very slow falling speed (which makes her light vertically) and difficulty landing her fairly weak KO moves. These negative factors lead to some difficult matchups which prevent her from being higher-tier. Her ranking in Brawl is considerably lower than her ranking in Melee (where she is ranked 6th), but she is still the highest-ranked representative of the Mario series in both games' tier lists (unless sub-series are counted, in which case, she would be the third-highest ranked Mario character).
