Introduction
The King of Fighters '98: Combo Hack (ROM name: kof98cb) is a ROM Hack of The King of Fighters '98 that modifies the game in specific ways to enable longer and flashier combos. You can play this hack with Fightcade, where it has rollback netcode, a training mode script, and even a ranked ladder.
System Changes
- Most Special Moves can now be cancelled into other Special Moves and Air Command Normals.
- The same applies to some Super Special Moves.
- Hilariously, this cancel system applies to both players, so you can act out of hitstun if you're good at timing inputs.
- Some moves have an OTG property, meaning they can hit players who are lying on the ground.
- After landing an OTG move that doesn't launch, you can follow up with a Normal Throw or a non-hit Command Grab.
- EX Characters (except the Orochi forms of CYS and Omega Rugal) can no longer be selected on the CSS. Instead, they are accessed by Taunting.
- The AI in Arcade Mode and Training Mode has been adjusted to be very difficult and adept in the combo system. Good luck!
-The majority of the Juggle System's limitations have been removed to make all of this possible.
