- Great Rushdown: Jades pressure consists of kara jabs, annoying auto combo staggers and difficult to anti air jump kicks.
- Great Jabs: Female Ninjas and Male Ninjas have a similar LP range, but the Female Ninja LP has a lower hitbox. Female Ninjas also have better throws than Male Ninjas.
- Good Zoning: Jade can zone effectively with the return Boomerang.
- Great Anti-Zoning: Glow grants Jade projectile invincibility. However, Glow does not work against all projectiles. Special projectiles like Sindel's air Fireball and Shang's Ground Eruption will still hit Jade during Glow.
- Female Ninja Hitbox: Female Ninjas can be difficult to juggle optimally. Some auto combos can whiff after jump punch starters against Female Ninjas.

- No LK, HK, Sweep Punish: Jade's Shadow Kick is fast enough to punish blocked LKs, HKs and Sweeps, but unfortunately the game disables it in this instance.
- Weak Combo Damage: Jade has low midscreen combo damage. She relies on chip damage on her long auto combos to make up for it.
- Weak Anti Airs: Jade lacks powerful anti airs. She relies on spacing and movement to counter jumping attacks.
