- Strong Counter Hits. Bryan's high combo damage often comes from his handful of powerful Counter Hit Launchers.
- Keep-Out. Bryan has more than a handful of moves with a lot of pushback. Including a unique Orbital to discourage low attacks.
- Space Control and Tracking. Bryan has a lot of solid options to catch side-stepping opponents.
- Wall Monster. Bryan is terrifying at the wall with many Oki setups, a high-execution unblockable taunt, and big damage!
- Heavy Blows. Bryan's moveset has many satisfyingly brutal hits and animations, perfect for violence lovers.

- Unorthodox Pressure. Bryan's many poking strings are very committal and unsafe if you complete the string. However this risk also comes with an equal or slightly greater reward.
- Snapping Turtle. Bryan is a defensive keepout character until he can land a big damaging launch (typically CH), before dragging his opponent to the wall. In this sense Bryan isn't your typical defensive poker or your typical rushdown.
- High Execution. Bryan has many key moves and techniques that are locked behind execution. Even the typical Korean Backdash requires cleaner inputs with Bryan due to his backsway.
