UMVC3: Community Edition is a mod for the PC port of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 created by Tabs & EMC. It began with the modders changing the movesets on specific character's color palettes, hence the original name Palette Swap. However, thanks to recent innovations by the modder Gneiss (pronounced nice) & the introduction of a model importer, modders have been able to add new models to the game & edit them to their liking, as well as create completely new slots for these characters off-screen, allowing players to play the base roster as well as currently a select few of the modding community's finest creations. The most recent announcement of the game culminated in it's new name: UMVC3: Community Edition, complete with over 50 new characters, lots of new costumes for all characters, and announcing 10 characters currently being worked on.
IMPORTANT NOTE: UMVC3 Community Edition is still in it's beta phase, and will be receiving updates intermittently. As such, this wiki may be out of date for the first few days after a new patch has been released. However, we will try our best to bring you accurate data about this game.
