Just play whoever you think is cool! Everyone in Remix is viable, and most characters are relatively easy to get a basic grasp on, especially compared to their USF4 counterparts.

Remix changes the game's juggle mechanics somewhat; most normal now have infinite JP, and will juggle regardless of how long a combo has gone on for. Medium and Heavy normals keep the opponent in a juggle state on hit, while light normals force an air reset. Due to the Remix addition of wakeup rolls; many players opt to deliberately end their combo in an air reset in order to to deny the opponent a chance to roll;, allowing them to preform better pressure after the opponent recovers.

Who should i play if I'm not sure who I want to main yet?

Just play whoever you think is cool! Everyone in Remix is viable, and most characters are relatively easy to get a basic grasp on, especially compared to their USF4 counterparts.

How active is the community?

We host biweeklies for the mod in the Remix Discord, and members of the community are constantly playing casuals against each other. The Remix Discord also has a matchmaking channel to help you find matches.

Note: much of the community at the moment consists of a small group of close friends, and as such we often spend a lot of time posting on a private server. If the Remix discord seems a little barren, that's the reason. As more people start to join the community, we will likely begin to use the mod discord more and more.

Can I play online?

Yes! Remix is fully compatible with the online built into USF4. Just make sure you and your opponent both have the mod installed, and it should function like normal!

Is this getting updated still?

Yes! Remix is still in active development, and new patches are pushed every few months.

Why does everyone end their combos in light normals?

Remix changes the game's juggle mechanics somewhat; most normal now have infinite JP, and will juggle regardless of how long a combo has gone on for. Medium and Heavy normals keep the opponent in a juggle state on hit, while light normals force an air reset. Due to the Remix addition of wakeup rolls; many players opt to deliberately end their combo in an air reset in order to to deny the opponent a chance to roll;, allowing them to preform better pressure after the opponent recovers.
