Rolf is a powerful character whose toolkit prepares him for most situations in the game. He has good air mobility with his double jump, which prevents him from being juggled easily.
Rolf is a powerful character whose toolkit prepares him for most situations in the game. He has good air mobility with his double jump, which also prevents him from being juggled easily.
His combos are very damaging because one hit can result in over 57% health lost. Rolf's juggle game is one of the best in the game. Both of his A and B attacks continues juggles, and his double jump allows him to catch up to opponents who are too far away during a juggle sequence.
 
Rolf's main weakness is his lack of a consistent guard cancel. Often, his Planet Breaker does not connect properly out of guard cancel, which leaves him more vulnerable than when he was blocking. He either has to guard cancel a backdash, or commit to a grab. Rolf can also guard cancel a dash hoping he can cross-up with Rapid Crush, but he risks being hit by a stray attack during the block string.
