Hayato is the Fiery hot-blooded PE teacher of Taiyo Highschool. Readily dealing out the toughest of challenges to Taiyo's student body, Hayato isn't afraid to (sometimes literally) beat his students into shape. While not originally playable in the initial arcade release of Rival Schools: United by Fate, he first became playable in the home console port on the Sony Playstation. In his (non-canonical) ending, he's shown setting out alone to investigate the recent kidnappings, and secretly defeating Hyo before Batsu, Hinata, and Kyosuke even manage to find Hyo's whereabouts. He leaves a failing letter mark on Hyo's forehead and leaves; a job well done. In Project Justice, he teams up with Hideo to rescue a then kidnapped Kyoko who he (not so secretly) has feelings for, despite being well aware of Kyoko's engagement to Hideo following the events of Rival Schools: United by Fate.
Much like Hayato's personality, his game plan is hard-hitting and straight to the point. Many normals with fantastic range give him extremely effective footsie tools, as well as having one of the only 2s that are confirmable into full combos; a rarity among the Project Justice cast. With his fantastic poking tools, effective mixups, and unique super armor install, Hayato is a strong pick for any team composition.
