SoulCalibur III is the 4th game in Namco's popular 3D weapon-based fighting franchise, SoulCalibur. The first game, Soul Edge (a.k.a. Soul Blade) debuted in 1995. Since then, Namco has refined the series for next generation consoles with the 1999 Dreamcast blockbuster SoulCalibur. Currently, the only home version of SC3 is on the PS2, which was first released in October of 2005.
