Overview

In a nutshell

Ness has been greatly buffed from Super Smash Bros. Melee to Brawl, as he is currently ranked 27th on the tier list (lower mid tier), rather than 23rd (bottom tier) as he was in Melee. His unsafe recovery, unusually long grab release animation, and below-average match-ups have prevented him from reaching high tier. However, his powerful KO moves, good comboing ability, and powerful throws have gotten him into the F tier.
