Quick-tempered, forgetful, and full of energy, Shoma brings his fiery personality back into the fray in Project Justice with his Gorin classmates Natsu and Roberto in tow. In Rival Schools: United by Fate, He and his friends are on the hunt for the person that injured his brother, Shuichi. In Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Shoma is captured and brainwashed by Justice High, but is later freed by Nagare- later visiting Shuichi in the hospital where he embarrassingly comments on Shoma's apparent feelings for Natsu.
Gameplay-wise, serviceable grapplers are few and far between in Project Justice, but Shoma may not be a bad substitute. Fishing Swing has incredible reach for a command grab, and deals damage comparable to using a Super or Team-Up attack. With multiple routes into various launchers and passable damage with little execution, where he lacks is in his paltry fireball game, and susceptibility to getting punished by Tardy Counters due to his multitude of slow, far-reaching normals.
