Introduction

Wolfgang Krauser is mixture of a zoning character like Sagat from Street Fighter and a character who also utilizes his grapple combos up close and personal.

Pros:

  • Hits like a truck
  • Invincibility on both versions of his dual sobat kicks
  • Lift up blow has great range, and has not much risk if whiffed (Does C version Blitz Ball)
  • Fireballs and Kaiser Wave are decent
  • Great movement speed for a grapple based character

Cons:

  • Both versions of leg tomahawk if blocked leave Krauser open to a free combo.
  • His best AA normal only comes out if the opponent is near him (Close D)
  • Alot of his heavy attacks are heavily unsafe up close
  • Big hitboxes
  • Has trouble with rushdown, and people who zone better than him.

Strategies

Basics

  • You can end most heavy attack blockstrings with B version Kaiser Dual Sobat. It's safe on block and by the time they recover out of block stun, there is very little they can retaliate with.
  • If you score a knockdown from anything expect Kaiser Kick. Timing a B or D version Blitz Ball on their wakeup is a safe 50/50.
  • Take advantage of that Lift up blow has stupid amount of range to cancel into, as well as invincibility against mashy opponents.
  • Try to get into Max mode if you can. This is where Krauser's true damage potential is shown.
