| #What are you trying to prove? This question isn’t meant judgmentally; it’s merely meant to stuff the fluff. Are you trying to win? To win in a challenging way? To enjoy the fight regardless of outcome? To test a particular team’s viability? To troll? Answer honestly; trying to mix answers will muddy responses to the following questions.
| |
| #What is your relative skill level? Are you able to assess the outcomes of clashing supers down to frames, or are you struggling to remember when and how to block? You might consider starting with easier characters and advancing to more of the roster as your abilities improve?
| |
| #Once you are able to win in multiple ways, which characters offer playstyles you enjoy?
| |
| #Are all the characters on your team pulling their own weight?
| |
| #Are the assist types of your characters appropriate to your strategic goal, or covering significant weaknesses on your team?
| |
| #How do your DHC options look? Can your DHCs go both forwards and backwards and still connect, like dominoes?
| |
| #What does your Crossover Combination do for your team?
| |
| #Do your characters’ moves offer a variety of properties to meet most battle needs? (A command grab, a teleport, a super counter, a beam assist, etc., for instance.)
