* Effective fireball game:
** Can keep air-space well and screen control relatively well with multi-air fireballs.

* A little something for everyone:
** Short, high-damage routes into destructively strong supers like '''Shimazu Shin Jicchokuken'''.

* Most good poking tools have poor recovery and keep '''Hideo''' outstretched; primed to be TC'd.
** This extends to Supers as well: '''Hideo's''' supers have lackluster pushback when blocked- especially his most damaging super, '''Shimazu Shin Jicchokuken'''. Characters with long-range Rival Launchers will punish missed inputs and poorly dropped impatient confirms harder than others.

* Fireballs are slow compared to characters like [[Project Justice/Burning Batsu | Burning Batsu]] or [[Project Justice/Vatsu | Vatsu]]; zoning isn't as strong of an option.
** While multi-air fireballs can be good, recovery is slow, and opponents knowledgeable on when to sidestep or cross-under can end any kind of screen-control before it even begins.

Hideo was originally a Japanese language teacher and traveling recruit for Justice High. When both he and his love interest, Kyoko Minazuki, are brainwashed by Raizo in Rival Schools: United by Fate, they are eventually saved by Taiyo Highs Batsu, Hinata, and Kyosuke. Upon being freed from his mind control and Hyo's eventual defeat, Hideo proposes to Kyoko, who excitedly accepts. In Project Justice, Hideo returns with the help of Taiyo Highs PE teacher, Hayato Nekketsu, to save a kidnapped Kyoko.
Intentionally, Hideo is as close to Project Justices' Ryu or "Generic Shoto" as you will find. Though that's far from a bad thing! While his fireball game may be a little lacking compared to Burning Batsu or Vatsu, Hideo has a simple, effective gameplan. With short, effective meterless combos and simple confirmable routes into explosively high damage Supers like Shimazu Shin Jicchokuken, as well as access to a (somewhat difficult) low-damage infinite juggle with a few well-timed Raieishuu's, Hideo's a 0-to-100 character through-and-through.
