| Remix focuses heavily on character specific tools. Each character comes with unique options that make them feel entirely distinct: characters can have airdashes, 8-way airdashes, double jumps, command jumps, shorthops, hyperhops, runs, fastfalls, and more! Characters can also have unique chains, allowing even more distinct gameplay styles. While many characters can confirm with a standard magic series (L>M>H), some characters can only do this with punches, some can only confirm lights into mediums ''or'' heavies, and others have no chains at all.
