Introduction

The classic "bad guy with a soft side," Edge is as rude to his friends as he is cruel to his opponents. Always ready to sling a fistful of knives or kick you while you're down, Edge is well known for being extremely pompous and egocentric. He hates being called by his real name, Eiji, and has a pretty traumatizing fear of ghosts (thanks to Hideo)! If it wasn't for Daigos' guidance, as well as his bonds with Akira and Gan, who knows what kind of trouble Edge would get himself into!

Edges uniqueness comes from his plethora of projectiles, as well as his surprisingly large number of back turn options. While not quite a stance character, and not quite a zoner, Edge has tons of tricks up his sleeve. With his numerous followups after 4Hk.png and Qcf.pngP.png, Edge has tons of really creative and effective options at mid and long-range.

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Great projectiles.
  • Great reach out of TC with 6Hp.png and 3Hp.png.
  • Can control space effectively from anywhere on the screen.
    • Air Reverse Blade Strike is particularly effective at checking long-distance.
  • About as close to a "Technique" character is PJ gets.
    • MUST get comfortable with going into a backturn stance on a whim.
    • MUST be familiar with not only normals, but grabbing while backturned; something not many other characters have to think about as part of their core gameplan to be successful.
