Akuma's fundamentals have not changed much in Arcade Edition. He is still a powerful and technical, but very brittle Shoto. His main differences in this version are the loss of power in his EX and jumping Hurricane Kicks. Players will need to exercise further caution in utilizing them due to his still-low vitality. Akuma has gained some usage in his Ultra 2, by means of an extended hitbox downward when canceling out of a teleport. Nevertheless, Akuma players will find the transition to AE a smooth, almost nonexistent one.}} | Akuma's fundamentals have not changed much in Arcade Edition. Now on a hellbent mission to fight against the most worthy opponents, Akuma has set his eyes on Gouken's student Ryu. Although Gouken had removed the Satsui no Hado from his teachings, Akuma intends to being that out in Ryu so the two can engage in the ultimate battle to the death.

Akuma has gained some usage in his Ultra 2, by means of an extended hitbox downward when canceling out of a teleport (Results in lower damage however). Nevertheless, Akuma players will find the transition to AE a smooth, almost nonexistent one.
